A Mud puddle” has muddy sides and is rather stagnant- water confined in a puddle destined to dry up eventually.

A mud puddle ( muddy) puddle of your mind

“I had a dream for the first time. No, the third time, you were running out of excuses with your alibis. You came upon a gate you couldn’t climb; you fell back into the puddles of your mind. I saw you there when you fell on your knees when you said you were sorry.

You found some relief, yet I cried out for your deliverance more than you did.

But you never left your past behind. I saw you crawling back in the shadows of your lies. Because you kept looking back from the corners of your eyes, falling back into a puddle of your mind into the muddy puddle of your mind”.

(I wrote this because I often see a sorry heart, not surrendering one. The results are different going forward or backward)

God’s free will is a gift.  But He requires our whole hearts, not half.

Jesus’ ministry reveals God’s ❤️

John 7:38

Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”

Clean or unclean

Unclean water is like that of the Dead Sea. It’s called the Dead Sea, as nothing resides in it – no fish, seaweed, or plants in or around the water. The water in the Dead Sea is deadly to fish who accidentally swim into the waters from one of the several freshwater streams that feed the Sea. They are killed instantly, their bodies quickly coated with a preserving layer of salt crystals, and then tossed onto shore by the wind and waves.

Although it looks pleasing to the eye, it is quite poisonous.

The same is true with false prophets who twist and create false doctrines and false knowledge of God to people and draw them to a dead zone.

Contaminated water can look clean but still have harmful bacteria, viruses, and parasites.

Decide Between – biyn – l’a (Hebrew for “between”) a root verb meaning “to distinguish” in the sense of gaining understanding by being able to discern, separate, or decide between.

Discernment is a gift from God, where He shows you how things are… instead of how you want them to be.

Clean Water means life, both in the natural and the spiritual.

The Word “living water” means a true knowledge of God.  The Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit teaches God’s will and guides and directs us.

Rain is refreshing, and when there is dryness and unproductive rain, it brings life (Joel 2:23-29).

The “pouring out” of the Holy Spirit as rain (Acts 2:17)

Holy Spirit’s rain.” The purpose is to get wet.

The Hebrew word for water is mayim מים MAH-yeem). The Hebrew word picture for water consists of three letters: mem, yod, and mem. Mem -water. Yod – hand. Mem – water.

His hand in between two waters. What did God do in creation?

He separated the waters from the waters. “Then God said, ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it (divide) the waters from the waters” (Gen. 1:6). The waters above were called shamayim שמים) shah-MAHYEEM), or heavens.

He divides the water.

God said he would divide the water so the Israelites could walk through the middle of the sea on dry ground, not mud.

Exo 14:16 – But lift thou up thy rod,and stretch out thine hand over the sea,and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

He piled up on two sides, like walls of huge ocean water.

Exo 14:22 – And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

If you walk in his will, he will part the most expansive and deepest of waters (problems, obstacles) so you can walk on dry ground without getting stuck in the mud.

The lasting signs of the rising water

Water levels

I was in prayer in the Sanctuary one day, and the Lord showed me yet again the walls surrounding the sanctuary, and they had water marks on them as if flood waters had receded. But they were all at different levels.

I asked the Lord why there were different levels of water lines. He showed me the ones who would go so far and then stop, for they never truly desired to be saturated and immersed.

I ministered to many people who said they were satisfied in the wadding pool yet griped the whole time because they never got totally wet.

Ezekiel  Ezekiel 47 The river’s source

I love this revelation because this is how the river of living water rises. When the rains came, it would increase.

The river’s increasing depth in my life

The measure of God’s Spirit became ankle-deep. I remember when I first believed, my heart exploded to share the gospel, and many heard and believed, and then I got in knee-deep as I  carried the gospel to the surrounding areas. I never ran out of energy because the word flowed out of me like the river of God’s Spirit. It became deeper and wider as He rained down upon me! It would carry me to purposed destinations, the most desolate of wastelands, dried-up, crying out for the rain to come and that dark reality of finding a soul empty of the true knowledge of God.

Yet I saw the power of His Spirit touching many, giving them a new life and a relationship, a friendship with God their Father, where there was only despair Jesus resurrected them with a new beginning.

We can’t outrun death, depression, rebellious people, relationships, or problems, but we can be like the dear and pant for the water and run to the water when the flames rise for safety.

God who “separates between the holy and the mundane, between light and darkness,

The power of being born of water and of Spirit.

Most assuredly… you must be born again: Jesus was emphatic in saying that man does not need reformation but a radical conversion by the Spirit of God. We must be born of water and the Spirit.

John 3:5-8) Jesus explains the new birth

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

We are first born naturally—after nine months of swimming in a placental water sac (a miracle)

So it is for those who place their faith in Jesus are born spiritually—born of the Spirit (an even greater miracle!)

The Psalm says,

Psa 72:6 –

May he come down like rain on the mown grass,

Like showers that water the earth.

Remember taking your shoes off to feel the coolness of the grass on a summer day.

As the temperature rose, so did the heat rising from the ground in the summer months. With the humidity thick in the air, the rain was welcomed, pouring down and bringing puddles from that sweet summer rain that you would play in as a kid to just get wet.
