I have learned the power of prayer in the boot camp of my life. The power of your song when I would sing declaring the words of scripture in them. The power of prayer pointed me in the right direction.
He trained me to pray through spiritual battles.
I was not looking for them, but God allowed me to walk close with him through the battlefields.
The landscape view of the battlefield after the battle will look different depending on whose side you’re on.
Psalm 108:13 (GNT)
“With God on our side, we will win; he will defeat our enemies.”

Do not be discouraged by what you see, for I can fulfill what I have for your life. You must continue to pray. I will train you for a new battlefield. You will learn to war in a new way with the words I give you. You have a destiny. War with the revelation of My prophetic Words until you see Me manifest the best I intend for your life. The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit and is the arsenal of all your spiritual warfare.
If you’ve been with Brad and me praying in the trenches, which means not on the front lines but before you get there, you’re down on your knees using your faith-filled voice that’s your mighty weapon, for He is the giver of the word as a sword for the battle, and the heavenly Assistant that He gives to aid us in prayer and intercession until victory is won, for He has the battle plans.
Around this time last year, he gave all this to me. He has forged a new path, and as I seek direction now, a Word of Knowledge and Prophetic guidance will come.
In preparation for the shifting into His promise, the releasing has been a more profound process than I ever had anticipated; this is all part of the growth deposits for the right mindset so I can flow into His assignment, I thought ( should have known) that it would flow like a River right into the next and now I’m astutely aware that it is His way, not mine. I’ve fought some primary emotions through the battlefield of my mind, and it’s drawn me closer to understanding Matthew’s account of chapter 27:33, Jesus’ crucifixion. He describes that “they came to a place called Golgotha (which means ‘the place of the skull’).”
Apply the blood! Pray! Confess the Word!
Because you are a covenant believer, God has promised to take care of you, especially when you face challenges.
Because of the precious blood of Jesus, we are covered. As you look to God to increase your faith today, He will impart mighty revelation of the power in His blood to your spirit. You can trust Him with all your cares and whole life as we journey on His path.
Some battles are more significant than others.
The plan’s strategically placed blueprints are essential. He’s thought them out in detail.
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Have you ever gotten so caught in a hard place that you wondered if you could escape? Have you ever waited so long for a promise to be manifested that you lost hope? Has God given you a promise that has yet to be fulfilled?
One morning, I awoke with the following words ringing through my spirit: The best is yet ahead. Do not be discouraged by what you see, for I will fulfill what I have for your life. I will train your prayer life for what’s ahead. You will learn to war in a new way with the words I give you. You have a destiny. War with the revelation of My prophetic word until you see Me manifest the best I intended for your life start to begin.
We have battles of living in this world with jealousy and hatred
John 15:18 Intercession and Prayer
(If the word)… If the people of this world hate you, just remember that they hated me first.
Intercession and Prayer
Intercession is defined as the action of intervening.
What is the difference between prayer and intercession?
Prayer is to our lives what gasoline is to an engine. Or an electric motor to a power station.
We will not move at all without it.
Intercession is turbo-charged prayer. Intercession is praying God’s heart into a specific situation or standing in the gap on behalf of a person or region in need of God’s
Intervention now!
The word for intercession in Hebrew is paga (pah-GAH). It is a primary root, meaning coming between, to cause to entreat, meet together, pray, and make intercession.
Jesus, His Hebrew name, Yeshua
Yeshua’s Intercessor Isaiah prophesied in chapter 53: “…12 And He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors”
(the message vs12)
And interceded [with the Father] for the transgressors.
Jesus hung on a tree of sacrifice by coming between us and a Holy God, bridging the gap that sin had created.
Christ redeemed us from the law’s curse by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree’” (Galatians 3:13).
Train them by example
Our kids know the Power of the shed blood of their Lord and Savior.
Kids traveled with me and Brad to many opportunities to sing and speak the Word. We traveled to many states in the early years.
They have witnessed firsthand the power of the blood of Jesus declared over a situation and themselves. They were in these meetings: churches, tent meetings, nursing homes, funerals, stores, and homes. schools and parks.
They saw many souls come to Jesus. They heard people testify and watched baptismals and heard many speak with new tongues.
They’ve witnessed individuals’ deliverances from demons—and miracle healings.
We sang out-of-red-back hymnals about the Power in the shed blood of Jesus. They were raised taking communion and understood why and receiving his forgiveness and healing. They went to the altar, bowed, and prayed for many in need.
They wrote songs and sang with me about Jesus, and we have seen many miracles together as a family over and over through the years.” Oh, the blood of Jesus that makes us white as snow. “
I’ve heard them pray and intercede with tongues with a desperate submitted heart to God the Father.
See, my kids are not perfect, and one thing I can be sure of is that they had lots of examples of wrong attitude “Christians “ but in those teachable moments when I’d say, “ Kids, that’s exactly how we are not to be as followers of Jesus.”
I never heard the boys or my daughter speak ugly or disrespectful to anyone in the “church” or gossip and degrade.
They heard others do that to them and their Pastor.
After I retired, each one of the kids, in different words but similar, said, “Mom, you never labored in vain, and so many lives were touched. Some we will never know till we see them in heaven.”
The blessing of the grandkids sharing in the ministry is something we are continually grateful for, too.
I can call my kids and come to a sweet agreement. Just the other day, my oldest and I were talking scripture. My daughter is a co-chairman in JLM, and just tonight, my youngest son sent me an old Hymn by Matt Hagee, “Look for me” when you get to Heaven, for I will be there too. I know they give to others more than they would ever take credit for. The sweetness of the Lord is in each of them.
Keep praying
