I hunger to dive deep into God’s word, find the treasure I can bring to the surface, and share its beauty with you.

For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

Can you see the sunlight leaving a trail on the water’s surface? The wind was causing rippling waves, and I began thinking about how deep it was right there, just floating on the water, and our boat’s depth finder said 70 feet. The temperature rose; I was ready to plunge into that refreshing water.đź’¦

Genesis 1:2

The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Breath/Spirit/Wind of God(Ruach Elohim) was moving over the surface of the waters.

1Co 2:10 – But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches G2045  all things, yes, the deep, things of God.

The Hebrew definitions of “search” and “deep” enrich my soul, making me think of the Holy Spirit searching and investigating everything.

God’s wisdom is something mysterious and precious that goes deep into the interior of his purposes. You won’t find it just floating about on the surface.

For His Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

He reminds us that only the Holy Spirit can tell us about God and His wisdom. This knowledge is unattainable by human wisdom or investigation.

The Holy Spirit Searches #G2045

 to search, examine into

investigate:—search.

(Thank you, Holy Spirit)

I enjoy giving definitions of Greek and Hebrew words.

 Deep in Greek is bath’-os # G899

Depth and height, like the children’s 🎵song Deep and Wide  – and of “the deep of the sea” and mystery:—deep(-ness.)

Deep in Hebrew

Tehohm: A Dive into the deep

DEEP/DEPTH/of the sea: tehohm. Noun. (Strong’s# 8415).

Sounds like: t’home

A pretty blue sailboat sailed by us that day in the deep waters heading back (to home) at the harbor.

Genesis 1:1-3

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void [tohu], and darkness was over the

surface of the deep [t’hohm],# 8415).

and the Spirit of God (wind, breath) was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

Air in your lungs / Wind in your sails

God breathed life into the world, which means there is an essence of God in all creation, including you and I, for God’s divine attributes are intricately woven into our very DNA, calling us to reflect and bear His image.

God is the ultimate source of all things, the origin of existence.

Colossians 1:16

16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Ruakh ( Holy Spirit) is God in action.

Try this.

Breathe on the palm of your hand; can you feel it?

You can’t see your breath, but you can feel it touch your skin.

It is both tangible and intangible.

It touches you, but you cannot grab it.

Without breath, your lungs would collapse.

Like the sails on the boat, they are the power that connects to the wind.

But a strong, steady wind is a sailor’s dream.

No one enjoys the term “Survival Sailing.”

 (Eze 47:3-5) The increasing depth

He brought me through the waters

Ezekiel went into and through the waters. The river was not something for Ezekiel to look at or think about; it was something for him to enter into.

Why was it necessary to bring Ezekiel through the waters in his vision?

The purpose was to reveal to him the water’s size and depth.

We must reflect on how deep we can go in our spiritual life to reveal the increasing progress in our lives.

Dive in and make a splash đź’¦
