Life can be a roller coaster. There are ups, downs, curves, and all sorts of twists and turns that you sometimes do not have control of.

However, the roller coaster is still headed to its designed end it has a destination.

🎢There are only two of us in my family who do not like to ride rollercoasters. It’s my youngest granddaughter and me, So we watch the rest of the crazy crew go up and down and upside down.

At the end of one of the roller coaster rides that we were watching in the waiting area, there was a camera that took a snapshot of the upside-down part of the rollercoaster experience so you could see it on a TV screen while it was happening and then you can buy the picture after the ride to remember it for later.

I was sitting there watching all the people with the most horrified faces or totally into it with arms raised, enjoying the crazy ride. I looked up and saw my grandson, but where was Grampy (that’s Brad )? I started panicking and asked if he had fallen out of the ride.

The coaster came to a stop. I ran over and yelled for my grandson, asking where Is your…? I barely got the words out, and behold Grampy was on the floor and popped up, Lol, he didn’t look well.

Needless to say, it’s three of us now sitting together waiting.

We all like having a sense of control in our own lives.

But when everything is going smoothly we’re good.

But all it takes is just one not-good doctor’s report, a rebellious child, a car breakdown, an unexpected bill, or a job loss any of these circumstances will reveal how we will handle the ride.

We’ve all felt this way and said

“Stop the ride”!

“I want to get off of this rollercoaster”!

Sometimes we just have to ride it out but I think our greatest factor in riding it out would be who’s sitting in the seat next to you.

Where our control ends is where we find the joy of the faithfulness of God.

We all need a strong conviction in the faithfulness of God.

He is the One who is really in control.

🎵We sang those old Hymns declaring His faithfulness written by the ones who were finding the truth through the trial.

With the Lord next to you, this does not mean that all your troubles will simply fade away, “not hardly”.

But, I do have a strong confidence in God bringing the ride of my life to His desired end.

Lamentations 3:22-23

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Deuteronomy 7:9

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,

1 Corinthians 1:9

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Are you holding on to the safety bar of life with clenched fists, panicking by your lack of control? Or will you let go and embrace the truth that God is using all of these ups and downs to bring you to His desired end?

Your life is your journey.

But there are times when your life is affected by someone else’s bad choices.

Now their path can intertwine with yours but the difference is you have peace on the path and a purpose at the end.

The ride does end.
